The new generation Spar store reopens in Ivoz-Ramet

On Friday 26 November, the Spar Colruyt Group store in Ivoz-Ramet will reopen its doors after getting a complete makeover. The local supermarket has been revamped into the new-generation Spar store style. The home-made delicatessen department and range of fresh fish, which is cut on the spot, received a prominent place, product freshness being the prime concern. Entrepreneurs Florette and Benjamin strive to offer both a modern store and a wide range of fresh products, much to the delight of customers.

Ideal location

This new generation convenience store, which has a 942 m2 surface area and 80 parking spaces, is located at the entrance to Ivoz-Ramet, an area that forms an important industrial hub of the Liège region, namely the steel industry basin. The region is home to a large population of Italian origin and has many factories.  In fact, the store's product range includes many typical products (Italian and regional products in particular).  The Spar in Ivoz-Ramet exists since many years and Florette, Benjamin and their co-workers take great care and pride in serving their customers.

Emphasis on fresh products and the catering counter

The fresh food range is one of the many assets of the local store. Customers can rely on excellent quality and freshness both in the sliced cold meat section and in the fruit and vegetables department. Benjamin explains: "The main eye-catchers in the new store are the catering offer and the fresh fish cut on site. Both ranges are new to us, even though we already have a number of home-made catering products on offer. We are also known for our top-quality butcher's department. Finally, we work with Tartemp'ion, an artisan baker from Engis. Thanks to this fine collaboration, we can offer high-quality pastries and bread!"  The key to their success is simple: offering food that is delicious ánd full of taste.

The Spar of Ivoz-Ramet, a family history

Entrepreneur Benjamin did not hesitate to take over the Spar store in Ivoz-Ramet which his father had taken over at the end of 2010. The supermarket is a warm and welcoming place, with a clientele that consists mainly of local residents, but also of workers from nearby companies, who drop by in large numbers at noon or at the end of the day. Benjamin continues: "With this new concept, we also hope to broaden our impact and attract new customers." A remarkable achievement for the independent entrepreneur and his team of 19 employees who always welcome their customers with a cheerful smile.
