The FASFC recalls cheeses produced in France. The French company "Fromagère de la Brie" produces and distributes the cheeses. Possible presence of the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

The FASFC received information from the French authorities that the French cheese producer "Fromagère de la Brie" found a contamination with Listeria. Part of the products were distributed in Belgium by means of several sales outlets such as the Colruyt and OKay stores.

For Colruyt and OKay, this is about the Brie de Meaux and Coulommiers cheeses. More information below.

Colruyt and OKay ask their customers not to consume these cheeses and to bring them back to the store. The products will be refunded. In the meantime, Colruyt and Okay removed the products from the shelves in all their stores.

People, who consumed these cheeses and get a fever and/or a headache, are advised to see their family doctor and to mention that they consumed this product. Pregnant women, people with reduced immunity and elderly people must be extra attentive for these symptoms.
