The black pearl of Kivu

17 October 2017

We’re investing in the coffee sector in North Kivu. Despite the difficulties in this province of DR Congo. We’re doing this in association with the NGO Vredeseilanden (Rikolto) to support 2,200 small coffee growers of the Kawa Kabuya cooperative. Over a period of at least three years, we will buy a significant volume of high-quality coffee from them, partly in the form of harvest pre-financing. Thanks to this financial contribution, the cooperative will be able to strengthen itself and fight poverty.
