Visit a wind turbine in virtual reality

23 February 2018

This 360° video clip lets you explore the machine room and take in the view from the top of an Eoly wind turbine, from the comfort of your armchair. If you turn the sound on, you can listen to a voice-over telling you everything you could ever want to know about wind energy. What we can tell you right now is that the turbine is 93 metres tall (without the rotor blades), has a capacity of 3.4 MW and can supply the energy consumed by 1,800 families per year. And is equivalent to a reduction in CO₂ of 2,000 tonnes.

How do I watch a VR video clip?

If you have a pair of VR glasses...

Place your smartphone inside the VR glasses or inside a cardboard headset (like Google Cardboard). The motion sensors will capture the direction you are looking in.

If you don't have a pair of VR glasses...

No problem. Simply watch the video clip on your tablet, smartphone or computer. Open your browser, click and drag with your mouse or use the arrows at the top left of the screen. On a mobile device, swipe across the screen to move the image in different directions.
