Simply collect and sort
Collecting litter by bike
Have you ever seen the streets of Ghent after a night of the Gentse Feesten? Or the site of your local festival? Cups, half-eaten hamburgers, plastic bags, flyers, bottles… To sum up: litter, litter everywhere. Specifically for festivals, street festivals and other events, our employees have developed the Recycle, an electric delivery bike which allows organisers to keep their events litter-free. Much more pleasant, don’t you agree?
Free at events and for associations
The Recycle has containers for PMD, residual waste and glass. Are you one of the volunteers who collects the litter? There are tongs, vests, gloves, a brush and a bin on board for you. That’s how you keep yourself clean too.
We currently have 5 bikes. We’ll lend them for free to anyone who’s organising an event and wants to keep it litter-free. Or to associations who want to clean up the neighbourhood and sort the litter on the spot. We’ll deliver the Recycles to the site and pick them up again. And cleaning up? Well, the organiser is responsible for that of course.
Premiere at the Forêt children’s festival
The Recycles rolled into action for the first time during the free SuperVliegSuperMouche children’s festival. A dream situation because the festival wants to be green and make children aware of litter. The artist and ‘Minister of Litter Bins’, Emmanuel Botalatala, set an example by working creatively with the litter.
Together for less litter
The Recycle isn’t an isolated story, it fits into our ‘Together for less litter’ action plan. And of course you have to admit that collecting litter by bike is also fun. That’s how we want to encourage people not to leave any litter behind.
Are you organising an event and are you looking for a fun way to tackle litter? Or is your association planning a clean-up? Then you can borrow one or more of our Recycles for free. You can book very simply by sending an email at least 14 days in advance.
