Foodbag delivers fresh, varied meal boxes to households across Belgium. Every week, in-house chefs and renowned guest chefs create over 35 balanced recipes in six cooking styles. Foodbag guarantees quality and taste by choosing sustainable, seasonal ingredients from Belgian suppliers. Customers customise their own box with three to six meals, in portions for one to six people. There is an increasing range of ultra-convenient options — from pre-cut and pre-cooked ingredients to fully ready-made meals. 

Foodbag is by far the most flexible concept on the meal box market. Customers can place one-off orders or subscribe weekly or fortnightly — with subscriptions that are easy to pause or cancel.

More than 220 enthusiastic drivers deliver the boxes free of charge and refrigerated, from Friday to Tuesday. On Mondays, Foodbag is also available at around 100 Collect&Go pick-up points. 

Since its launch in 2014, Foodbag has grown significantly. In 2019, Foodbag merged with Belgian meal box brand Smartmat, which two years later acquired the recipe box 15gram, becoming the largest fresh food e-commerce company in Belgium.
In 2022, Colruyt Group acquired a 41.36% stake in Smartmat, which was increased to 100% in 2025. That same year, Foodbag also took over Foodprepper, a Belgian specialist in ready-to-eat food boxes.
