Colruyt Group is a Belgian family business with more than 40 retail formats, webshops and services. What humbly began in 1928 with the son of a baker has, over three generations, grown into a listed retail group with more than 30,000 colleagues. Through our values-driven craftmanship in food retail and our ambitions in preventive health, we aim to make a positive contribution to society.
How do we do business?
Sustainable entrepreneurship for the generation of tomorrow has been at the core of our business since the very beginning. In 1990, we formalised that commitment in the Green Line charter. Through both small and large initiatives, we strive to do a little better every day for the environment, our health and society. With initiatives such as the Green-score, we also inspire our customers to take conscious steps forward.
As a deeply rooted Belgian retailer, we consciously choose to create value in Belgium. That is why we work with more than 6,000 Belgian agricultural businesses, produce 30% of our private label products ourselves and continuously invest in the craftmanship of more than 30,000 colleagues. Together, we move forward and you can feel it in our stores across the country.

Our people-oriented culture is also visible in our customer friendliness, our chain collaborations with suppliers and our partnerships with civil society organisations.
