Craftsmanship with Heart for Belgian Products

At Colruyt Group, we believe in pure craftsmanship. By producing wines like this ourselves from A to Z, we develop and deepen that craftsmanship. We improve every single day. With passion, expertise and respect for people and the environment, we create products that are not only delicious, but also contribute to a strong local economy. That, for us, is: craftsmanship with heart.

New Belgian Products

We create a variety of new products into which we pour our heart and soul, consciously contributing to Belgian's rich tradition of regional specialities. This is only possible thanks to the passion of our people who drive their often innovative projects with full energy. It is through the craftsmanship they build that our customers can enjoy exciting new products such as our wine or our mussels.

Contributing to the Local Belgian Economy

Control over the entire chain is our guarantee of quality. And by keeping that chain Belgian, we contribute to our local economy. The craftsmanship remains with us, is passed on from generation to generation and strengthens our community. With these in-house products, we offer our customers a high-quality and socially responsible choice.

Domaine Lez-Envies: Belgian Wine from the Pays de Collines

In the rolling landscape of the Pays des Collines, in Frasnes-lez-Anvaing, lies Domaine Lez-Envies. It is here that our first own white wine was created: Pas de Soucis. Born from a desire to show how Belgian soil can surprise us. You can taste the result at Cru, Boir, Foodbag and Colruyt Professionals or at restaurants partnering with Solucious. Also available via Foodbag later this year.

Bel'Mer Sea Farm: Belgian Mussels from the North Sea

The only Belgian mussels? Since 2021, they have come from our offshore sea farm along the Belgian coast: the Bel'Mer Sea Farm. With this innovation project, we are investing in an excellent alternative protein source: nutritious, and full of flavour. We work sustainably by consciously choosing rope-grown mussels. You can find them at Okay, Colruyt, Spar, Solucious, Colruyt Professionals and in a growing number of hospitality businesses.

New Food with Belgian Roots

These new products reflect who we are as a company. As the only Belgian retailer, we have long focused on our roots. We support Belgian agriculture in many ways: by highlighting local products or through direct partnerships. Below, you can find more information on how we consciously choose Belgian products for our stores.

Supporting Belgian agriculture

As the proud (and only) truly Belgian retailer, we’re fully committed to offering as many Belgian products as possible. How? By working closely with Belgian farmers, by innovating with local production, and by producing a share of our food products ourselves.

Direct collaboration with Belgian farmers

In recent years, we established a number of direct collaborations with Belgian farmers. In this way, we want to continue to invest in anchoring and sourcing our agri-food products in Belgium.

As many Belgian products as possible in our stores

As a Belgian retail group, Colruyt Group wants to offer as many local products as possible, whether sourced from Belgian suppliers or from its own production. Gunther Uyttenhove, director of Farming and Fine Food, explains this strategic choice.
