Green Deals

The Flemish government’s Green Deals consist of voluntary agreements between private partners and the government to jointly launch sustainability projects around specific themes. In recent years Colruyt Group has already signed various Green Deals that are closely linked to our core activities:

  1. Protein shift on our plate: we are aiming for a ratio of 60% vegetable and 40% animal protein on our plate by 2030. 

  2. Sustainable urban logistics: we are reducing, shifting and changing the transport kilometres in the city.

  3. Low-emission urban logistics: we have been supporting the Brussels Green Deal for low-emission urban logistics since 2023. This is a public-private alliance that aims to accelerate the transition within the logistics sector to less polluting mobility. 

  4. Circular procurement: as a retailer, we can help steer the demand for sustainable raw materials. We want to use our economic clout to start a positive social and ecological cycle in the places where we source our raw materials and products.
